Richard Foote for Hanworth
Richard is standing for re-election in Hanworth after having served as a Councillor here for three terms, during which he has achieved a huge amount for the people of Hanworth, and the Borough of Hounslow at large.
During the last four years as Cabinet Member for Community Safety introduced the Hounslow's Police, Estates and Enforcement teams. Following severe government cuts he also worked hard to rescue critical elements of the Borough’s Youth Services, and fought successfully for local funding for a range of community projects. Richard also campaigned passionately for better recreational facilities for children in Hanworth.
Following considerable pollution of local parks, ponds and rivers, Richard introduced a local ban on feeding birds. He also led the Council campaign for the restoration of Hanworth Park House, and successfully campaigned for Hanworth’s bridal paths to be opened up.
To further improve the environment of Hanworth, Richard has helped residents with street and alleyway clean-ups, and successfully lobbied Transport for London to clean up Hampton Road West and Apex Corner roundabout both, which are both TfL-owned roads in Hanworth. He has also been heavily involved in the modernisation of Feltham and surrounding areas including Hanworth Air Park.
