Alan has lived in Feltham town centre for 12 years and the borough for 25. He is a teacher of performing arts and SEN and an actor.

He is committed and community focused and has enjoyed engaging with community hubs at Highfields (Feltham Community Development Association FCDA) and Southville to secure funding and facilities for some of our most needy residents in addition to establishing regular community clean ups by the pit alley and Grosvenor Park estate. Helping the Feltham “Alleycats” on Rochester/Raleigh road to transform an ASB hotspot into a community garden was most satisfying. Supporting community groups like Highfields Gardening and Feltham ponds has shown what great people we have in our town who champion our area and love where they live! With casework, bringing peace of mind to those in housing need has been the most rewarding experience, whilst meeting residents while out and about in the parks, pubs and shops of Feltham has also been a pleasure.

Living in a busy town centre, Alan worked for over a year to gain workable parking rights for residents and liaised with TFL to change the traffic light phase at Reach Academy to help high Street traffic flow.

Alan has served on several committees including vice-chair Children’s & Young Persons Scrutiny panel where he helped achieve improvements to Tier 2 access on mental health and was part of a working group on childhood obesity which offered pathways to a solution for this major problem.

He has liaised closely with the police on all community issues including regular ward panel meetings including support for the upcoming borough wide PSPO to make Feltham a safer, healthier place for all residents.

Alan represents the needs of local people as vice-chair on the Feltham Housing group in the new era of housing and regeneration pushing for ‘Feltham Affordable’ nomination rights.

As an actor, he is pleased to have been able to support the development of arts projects for all and theatre groups, being a local advisor to the Creative Places team and Feltham Arts.

Alan says Feltham is a great place to live is optimistic that the next four years will see greater improvements as the community works together to secure a positive, prosperous future
