Richard was first elected to represent Hanworth Village Ward in 1968 and served on the Council until 1974 when he stood down following my promotion with British Airways. Richard returned to the Council after his retirement from British Airways in 2014 again representing Hanworth Village Ward where he currently serves.

Richard has acted as Chair of the Housing Committee and Vice Chair of Overview and Scrutiny, and he is currently chair of the Hanworth Area Forum and a member of the Planning Committee.

Richard holds his Monthly surgery at 10 am on the first Saturday of the month at Hanworth British Legion.
