Councillor for Hounslow Central
Ajmer has lived in Hounslow all her life, and been serving the community as a Councillor since 2006. Ajmer has also served on the Cabinet of the Council, and was the Mayor of Hounslow from 2016-17. Ajmer, a mother of two, was a local radio presenter for 20 years, now owns a business on Kingsley Road and she devotes much of her time to helping the local community.
As a Councillor in Hounslow Central alongside Pritam and Nisar, Ajmer has made significant contributions to the community, particularly to local facilities. Improvements at Inwood/Thornbury Park have led to more users than ever before, and working with residents’ associations and developers will see new facilities at Hounslow Quarter too. She has also helped local businesses by introducing free parking on Kingsley Road, introducing a temporary car park on Hanworth Road, CPZ in residential roads, and easing parking pressure near tube stations. Together they have supported a new build for Hounslow Town Primary School, which offers improved facilities and more spaces.
