Pritam has lived in Hounslow for 41 years, and has served as Councillor for Hounslow Central sine 2002.

Pritam was Mayor of Hounslow in 2012-2013. Now retired from working at Heathrow Airport, Pritam owns a business in the ward and spends much of his time helping the local community. He was a school governor for both Alexandra Schools, junior and infant. He is a member of the GMB Union and an active member of Brentford and Isleworth Constituency Labour Party.
