Tony Louki for Osterley & Spring Grove

Tony has lived in Isleworth since 1987, and has been working to represent the people of North Isleworth, Spring Grove, and Osterley first in the 1990s, and then as a councillor again in 2014. He has been a prolific caseworker in the ward in his time as a Councillor so far, accounting for more than 15% of all Councillor enquiries to Hounslow Highways alone, having raised 1,185 cases between June 2014 and December 2017.

He is a great supporter of Osterley and Spring Grove’s community, social and sports facilities, and has led several major pieces of work in this area. Tony bid for and won £80,000 to make improvements to Jersey Gardens, and another £80,000 for improvements to Thornbury Park. He also campaigned successfully to save historic aspects of 1 Clifton Road, and has worked with residents to reduce flytipping in key hotspots. He contributes to the Osterley & Spring Grove Safer Neighbourhoods Panel, walking the ward and advising local police on emerging issues.

Tony has also held meetings with residents and businesses to improve public transport at Isleworth and Syon Lane stations, and led a local campaign to keep the H28 bus route serving West Middlesex Hospital. He has worked carefully to arrange and attend meetings with a range of bodies to ensure all ward interests are represented, including, Hounslow Council planning, refuse and transport teams, Hounslow Highways, Transport for London, Network Rail, South Western Railway, Housing Associations, National Trust, BSkyB, as well as local schools and West Thames College.

Tony is also focused on looking for ways that Transport for London, Hounslow Council and its contractors can deliver services with efficiency and effectiveness. He is committed to ensuring residents having information and the relevant resources at their disposal to enable the fullest community participation in shaping local services and decision making.
